A better Stroubles Creek, one tree at a time
Every year, volunteers help to plant thousands of native trees that will provide shade, habitat, and food to benefit the land, wildlife, and people for generations to come.



The Big Plant 2026
Where: Blacksburg, VA
When: Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29; shifts from 9am to 12pm, 1 am to 4pm
Who: All ages and abilities welcome! Whether a forester or first-time tree planter, we welcome you!
We need Volunteer field leaders to supervise tree planters and quality control check so we can have happy, healthy trees–sign up above
Gloves and tools will be provided to all volunteers and field leaders. Bring your own weather-appropriate gear, water, snacks, and closed-toe footwear.
